When asked recently why Smyths inc. Hairdressing Salons were such great places to work, the team responses were varied.
Part owner and team leader Cameron, who has settled in Noosa after owning a successful Hairdressing Business in the UK says it’s like no other salon he’s worked in. "Not only do I have an excellent clientele and a great crew of people to work with, the view of the Noosa River is fabulous and with the Hastings Street salon near my favourite beach break, I surf before and after work…… It is heaven on a stick!"
Monique, Senior Stylist & Salon Technical Advisor [STA], says it is the diversity of clients that she loves. "On a daily basis I can have a Noosa local sitting next to a traveller from France, who is sitting next to a holiday maker from Melbourne. They are busy salons yet easy going and we love what we do." "Noosa is renowned for its wedding culture and we are always excited to be involved in a Bridal Parties special day", adds Monique
"After working in Brisbane for several years I’m loving being able to work with fantastic leaders and co-workers who believe in quality service for their clients." Senior Stylist Lisa adds, "The salons are relaxed and have a fun atmosphere….What can beat that!!!?"
Senior Stylist Natalie, a vibrant young hairdresser with a passion for colour and shape is pleased to have a career at Smyths inc. because of the impressive reputation the salon has in the Noosa Community and within the Hairdressing Industry. "I love the view of the Noosa River & the buzz of Hastings Street & the everyday life that passes our doors. The salon atmosphere is special, it’s a fun place to work. Like having an extended family," says Natalie.
You will find the talented & easy going Lloyd at the Hastings Street salon. "After a decade instructing novice Snowboarders on the slopes of Thredbo, my partner Stacey & I left the beautiful Snowy Mountains for some salt water therapy in the Noosa Shire and we love it here already." Lloyd's hairdressing credentials are impressive, having been in an educating role for two of the Industries major Companies. We are pleased to have him on our team.
Stylist Bracken says "Our clients are very important to us and we try hard to give each person a great experience so they want to come back and see us." Stylist Shannyn says beginning her career and being guided and taught in such a well known & respected salon is cool. "I am proud to say I am a part of the Smyths inc. team."
Junior Assistants Becky & Charlotte have joined the team to begin their career in Hairdressing and we are very pleased to have them with us.
Effervescent Colin says "It’s not always about the hair, it’s the Salon Experience! The salon is more than a hairdressing salon, it’s a destination!" "It’s an absolute pleasure to work with such a creative and happy crew of people....."
